Plateau Governor travels to Abuja to watch lawmaker defect to APC

Pwajok, who represents the Jos South/East Federal Constituency, joined the APC after dumping the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

His defection was officially announced via a letter read by Speaker, Yakubu Dogara on the House floor.

Pwajok explained that he decided to leave the PDP due to the division in that party.

Meanwhile, Lalong said more lawmakers would soon defect to the APC.

“Edward has opened the gate, very soon you will see more of them,” Lalong said.

“From the way things are going, before the end of the year, we may not have a substantial minority in Nigeria,” he added.

The PDP has witnessed a flurry of defections due to a leadership crisis which has split it into two factions.

One faction is being led by former Borno Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff while the other is headed by former Kaduna governor, Ahmed Makarfi.
