Plateau State Governor appoints son as commissioner

Yakubu Jang was previously his father’s Special Adviser on Special Duties and is now the Commissioner for Lands and Urban Planning.

The Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang has appointed his son as a commissioner in the state.

Yakubu Jang is the state’s new Commissioner for Lands and Urban Planning.

The younger Jang was previously his father’s Special Adviser on Special Duties and takes over the new position from former occupant, Yilji Gomwalk.

Gomwalk vacated the office due to his nomination as the running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2015 elections, Gyang Pwajok.

The changes were announced by the state Commissioner for Information, Mohammed Abubakar during a press briefing on Sunday, December 21.
