The APC Chairman made the comments on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, while receiving former Nigerien President, Mamman Usman in Abuja.
Oyegun also said that the former ruling party had frustrated several efforts by the Nigerian opposition to form coalitions and alliances.
The APC was eventually formed from a merger of Nigeria's three biggest opposition parties – the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) – and a faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
