‘We are well prepared for coming elections,’ APC says

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has said that it is well prepared for the coming March 19, 2016 State and National Assembly rerun elections in the state.

This was disclosed by Rivers APC spokesperson, Chris Finebone, according to Vanguard.

“The party is very well prepared for the coming rerun election. We have done the needful, we are going to win and we will do a mega rally on the last day of campaigns which is on Thursday,” he said.

“We are galvanising our supporters all over the local governments and we believe that we are doing well. We have done sensitisation very well and the results will manifest on Sunday.

“It is our expectation that people will vote for us. And we are also counting on the promises of the security agents that the needful will be done to provide adequate security before, during and after the election. To that extent we are prepared.

“We have been reassured by the security agents and INEC that what happened during the 2015 general elections will not happen. It is not only about the APC, we have been reassured that all of the parties will have a level playing field. So far we have no reason to doubt their assertions or their promises. We believe that it will be a free and fair outing,” he added.

Meanwhile, former Rivers governor, Rotimi Amaechi has said that the APC will the elections.
