The Ondo State House of Assembly has served an impeachment notice on the Deputy Governor of the state, Ali Olanusi.

The notice, which detailed seven counts of allegations, was issued against Olanusi on Tuesday, April 21, 2015.

20 out of the 26 lawmakers in the House endorsed the notice which they said was pursuant to Section 188 of the Constitution.
The allegations levelled against Olanusi include gross misconduct, financial misappropriation and absence from official duties among others.
The move comes barely one month after the Deputy Governor defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
