PDP guber candidate drags Amosun, INEC, REC to Election Tribunal

He accused INEC officials of cooperating with the APC leaders in the state to manipulate the election result, which he said was in his favour in 14 LGs before the final results were announced.

The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party  in Ogun State, Gboyega Isiaka, has submitted his petition against the state Governor Ibikunle Amosun, to the Election Petitions Tribunal in the state.

Isiaka, who dragged Amosun, his party,  the All progressives Congress (APC), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Resident Electoral Commission in the state before the Tribunal, claims he won 14 local governments out of 20 councils in the April 11 gubernatorial election.

He accused INEC officials of cooperating with the APC leaders in the state to manipulate the election result. He said field report before the election was over showed that it was favouring him.

“I had a clear lead in 14 local governments while the gap was very close in the six other council areas of Ogun Central Senatorial district and Ado-Odo-Ota in Ogun West senatorial district,” Isiaka  told journalists shortly after submitting his petition to the Tribunal in Abeokuta.
