Former transport minister, Idris Umar defects to APC

Umar, who served under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, defected along with hundreds of his supporters on Saturday, November 26.

“After several deliberations and consultations, we decided to join the APC, in other to join our friends and brothers who have gone before us, to revive the political glory of our state, and bring about massive development,” Umar said in his hometown, Dadin Kowa.

Umar was welcomed by the chairman of the APC in the Yamaltu/Deba local government, Alhaji Sule Makaniki.
