President Goodluck Jonathan is set to visit Lagos State on Sunday, March 1.

During his visit, Jonathan will meet with about 5,000 youths as part of a programme titled, ‘Meet the President.’

News of the President’s impending visit was announced by former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro via Facebook.

“Nigeria’s most youth-friendly President ever, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, will be meeting with Nigerian youths in Lagos this weekend. Power to the youths!” Obanikoro’s post read.

The President had earlier spent five days in Lagos during which time he met with the Yoruba Council of Elders, Igbo traders and market women.

His visits have however been criticized by Governor Babatunde Fashola who described them as hypocritical and also accused Jonathan of sharing dollars to some residents of the state.
