President receives N21.27bn to boost campaign [PHOTOS]

The funds were donated by businessmen, multinational organisations, interest groups and individuals during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Fund Raising Dinner which held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Saturday, December 20.

President Goodluck Jonathan has received a total donation of N21.27 billion in support of his campaign.

Some of the donors were the chairman of the occasion, Tunde Ayeni, who contributed N2bn, stakeholders in the Oil and Gas sector who donated N5bn, those in Real Estate and Building donated N4bn, in Transport and Aviation, N1b, Food and Agriculture, N500m, Power, N500m, Construction, N310m, Road Construction, N250m, National Automotive Association, N450m and Shelter Development Limited, N250m.

The Chairman of the fundraiser committee, Jerry Gana announced a donation N5bn while the PDP Governors Forum announced a total donation of N1.05billion. Other individuals and organizations also made donations.

President Jonathan thanked all the donors and assured that the money contributed would be used wisely.
