Buhari will probe only ex-President’s administration – Presidency

According to Buhari’s media aide, Femi Adesina, the president will not waste time by extending the probe to other governments.

President Muhammadu Buhari will focus his corruption probe on only the administration of predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan, the presidency has revealed.

According to Buhari’s media aide, Femi Adesina, the president will not waste time by extending the probe to other governments.

Adesina disclosed this while speaking to Premium Times on Wednesday, July 22, 2015.

The presidential aide said:

“If you recall, that was already settled before he got inaugurated as president. He has said he will not waste time digging into the far past. The far past will includes Obasanjo and others. But the president has said he will not waste time to go that far.”

Buhari announced, while in the United States of America, that his administration would prosecute former ministers who had stolen public funds and hidden same in private accounts.
