Femi Gbajabiamila has been appointed the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives.

Also, Ado Doguwa emerged chief whip while Buba Jibrin and Pally Iraise were named Deputy Majority Leader and Deputy Whip respectively.

The lower chamber has been rocked by crisis ever since the emergence of Yakubu Dogara as Speaker in June.

Gbajabiamila had been chosen for the Speakership by the All Progressives Congress (APC) but Dogara defied the party to contest and beat him to it.

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, July 27, met with the warring reps and urged them to respect the party in order for peace to reign.
