Jonathan's loyalist asks Mua'zu to resign like UK leaders

The Media Director for Goodluck Jonathan's Presidential campaign, Femi Fani-Kayode has joined Governor Fayose in pressuring the PDP Chairman, Adamu Mu'azu to resign like UK leaders did on Friday.

Pressure on the People’s Democratic Party’s National Working Committee (NWC) members to resign has intensified after two party leaders resigned in the United Kingdom.

Leaders of Labor party and Liberal Democrats, Ed Milliband and Nick Clegg respectively had tendered their resignation after they both lost in the UK election on May 7/8.

Seconding Fayose’s statement, the Media Director for President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign in the March 28 presidential election, Femi Fani-Kayode has also called Mua’zu’s attention to the moves of the UK leaders, technically telling him and his team to step aside.

“Nick Clegg of the Liberal Democrats and Ed Milliband of of Labour both resigned as leaders after losing the UK election. PDP NWC pl take note,” Fani-Kayode wrote on twitter and deleted the tweet almost immediately.

Internal crisis has rocked the PDP camp since the party massively lost out in the March 28/April 11 general elections, with some accusing Mua’zu and others of betraying the party, but the NWC insists they have constitutional backing to finish their tenure.
