Aregbesola praises Ekiti governor for maturity, clear headedness

Fayose is an active member of opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while Aregbesola is a member of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC).

Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola has praised Ekiti State counterpart, Ayo Fayose for his visit to Osun on Tuesday, January 26, 2016.

Aregbesola said further that Fayose’s visit to the stateshows “maturity and clear headedness.”

The Osun governor made the comments via Twitter on Tuesday.

“I am honored to play host to my friend and brother, the executive governor of Ekiti state, Peter Ayodele Fayose. I celebrate you for the maturity and clear headedness that your visit to Osun today represents,” Aregbesola wrote.

“The visit of @GovAyoFayose to Osun today shows that though we differ politically, the Yoruba race remains united. I gave @GovAyoFayose my word that I will continue to work with him and other Yoruba leaders to better the life of the average Yoruba man,” he added.

Fayose is an active member of opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while Aregbesola is a member of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Ekiti governor however denied reports that he was planning to defect to the APC.
