Ex-Governor sworn in as minister [PHOTOS]

Fashola is expected to be one of the high profile members of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet due to his track record of performance.

Former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola has been sworn in as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Fashola is believed to be one of the high profile members of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet due to his track record of performance.

The former governor is credited with improving the state and reputation of Nigeria’s commercial capital during his eight-year tenure.

It is not yet clear which ministry Fashola will be functioning in as the ministers’ portfolios are yet to be announced.

Earlier reports however had it that the former governor would be deployed to Nigeria's ailing power sector.
