Kaduna Governor has President Buhari's blessing for second term

The governor has been endorsed by the president to seek reelection in Kaduna.

The governor revealed this during a live radio interview where he disclosed that he got the president's endorsement after party stakeholders in the state backed his bid on September 16.

He said, "It was after I finished briefing him that he gave me the nod to seek re-election together with my deputy."

The governor also revealed that the All Progressives' Congress (APC) will soon call for a meeting where all members can express their feelings about the way forward for the party.

He said his reelection bid should not deter any willing member interested in the governor's seat from registering their intention to contest for the party's primary ticket.

He assured that the opposing factions in the party will soon reach an agreement to ensure the party is not thrown into any sort of crisis.

"Very soon we are going to invite every stakeholder to a meeting and allow anybody who feels he or she is shortchanged to express his grievances.

"We are democrats and we are ready to adjust, if we erred," he said.
