Omisore made the comment after former Appropriations Committee Chairman, Abdulmumin Jibrin accused Dogara of taking reps to the former senator to swear oaths of allegiance.
Omisore made the denial via a statement released by his media aide, Prince Diran Odeyemi.
The statement reads in part:
“He (Omisore) is not a member of the House of Representatives and there is nothing wrong having friends across the country. So, if he (Omisore) has friends across the country and somebody wants to rope him in in any issue, it is very unfortunate and it is very unfortunate.”
“(Omisore) is not a member of the APC and everybody knows that. As a senior colleague and former member of the Senate, he relates with virtually all politicians in this country. So, for somebody to accuse him (Omisore) of being a godfather to anybody, it is unfair.”
Jibrin had earlier accused Dogara of conniving with other lawmakers to pad the 2016 budget.
