Ex Senate President says he is ready for re-run elections

Senator Mark also said that the encouragements from his people, is a morale booster, adding that he is also psychologically ready.

 

7000 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC)in Benue State, recently defected to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in a bid to show their support for Senator David Mark who will be contesting the February 20 Senatorial rerun elections.

Following the event, the former Senate President announced to newsmen that he is prepared for the upcoming elections.

Punch reports that Mark, in a statement issued by his media aide, Paul Mumeh said “I am psychologically and emotionally prepared for the rerun election on account of the growing support from my constituents who are urging me on.

“I enjoy the support and confidence of my people. God helping us I will not let them down,  I will serve creditably.”

A Court of Appeal sitting in Makurdi, Benue State, nullified the election of the former Senate President on Saturday, November 28, 2015.

Also, following the annulment of his election, the bio-data and picture of Former President of the Senate, was reportedly are missing from the National Assembly website.

Senator Mark will be contesting against the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Donald Onjeh.
