Daniel Onjeh says Senator's office has been shut for 4 months

Onjeh claimed that the development clearly shows that the Benue South Senatorial District has not been represented in the Senate for four months.

 

In a recent report by Sahara Reporters, Onjeh, who is contesting the Benue South Senatorial District seat with the ex-Senate President, made the allegation after a court bailiff failed in serving a court notice.

Onjeh reportedly expressed shock as he claimed that the development clearly shows that the Benue South Senatorial District has not been represented in the Senate for four months.

The politician reeled out further that the discovery was confirmed by at the reception of the Senate Wing of the National Assembly, where the court bailiff had allegedly been told that the Mark's office has been locked since April, 2016.

Onjeh had earlier filed a Notice of Appeal on June 30, 2016 following the Election Petition Tribunal ruling, contesting the seat which is currently occupied by Mark.

The case, which was transmitted to the Court of Appeal in Makurdi, on July 4, 2016 is currently pending as the mandatory 180 days constitutionally provided for the hearing and determination of Election Petition, is fast running out.
