“Gombe is peaceful because of leadership. We will replicate it if we take over office. Cabinet will be formed from the day I'm given the job,” Dankwambo declared.

He continued: “We have seen how PDP govern, we have seen how it is not about witch-hunting, not about chasing people up and down and leaving the key thing to be done. It is about effective leadership.

“For some of us we would have just sit at the back and watch what is going on in this great country, but some of us are products of this great party. It is not time for rest, yet,” he added.

Dankwambo believes he is the best man for Nigeria’s top job haven served as an Accountant-General of the Federation and a two-term governor of “the most peaceful states in Nigeria”.

He assured the PDP of his support for whoever becomes the party’s flagbearer at the presidential primaries.
