President seeks Senate confirmation of 10 for CCB board

President Buhari said the move was in compliance with section 541 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).

In a letter read by Senate President Bukola Saraki on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, the President said the move was in compliance with section 541 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).

The nominees include: Dr. Muhammed Isa (Jigawa, North West), Murtala Kankia (Katsina, North West), Emmanuel Attah (Cross River, South Sputh), Danjuma Sado (Edo South South), Obolo Opanachi (Kogi North Central), Ken Madaki Alkali (Nasarawa, North Central).

Others are: Prof. S.F Ogundare (Oyo, South West), Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat (Ogun South West), Sahad A Abubakar (Gombe North East) and Dr. Vincent Nwanne (Ebonyi South East).

In a judgement, Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court hadsacked the board of the CCB following the expiration of their tenure in April 2015.
