President Muhammadu Buhari has described the 16 years of the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) administration in Bayelsa state as a waste, urging the people to vote for the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Chief Timipre Sylva, in the forthcoming governorship election.

Buhari who was represented by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo stated this in the state during the APC governorship campaign.

On Osinbajo's delegation to Bayelsa were, the secetary to the government of the federation (SGF), the party’s national leader and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and the governors of Edo and Sokoto States - Comrade Adams Oshiomole and Aminu Tambuwa respectively.

Buhari advised the people to end the long years of suffering they have experienced by voting for the APC. He added that Bayelsa will be a greater state under an APC led state government.
