President Buhari in keeping with his promise of appointing ministers by the end of September, submitted the list of ministerial appointees to the Senate.
Why names will not be made public till October 6
The list was submitted by Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Abba Kyari and Senator Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Legislative Matters (Senate).

Following the submission of the list, the Senate President has issued a statement saying the envelope containing the list, remain sealed till Tuesday, October 6th, 2015, when it will be read.
The Senate President, through his media aide, Yusuph Olaniyonu, said “Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki this evening received the list of Ministerial nominees sent to the Senate for screening by President Muhammadu Buhari.”
Adding that “Dr. Saraki has, following the tradition of the Senate, decided that the envelope will remain sealed till Tuesday October 6, when during the plenary sitting of the Upper legislative chamber, it will be opened and the list read to Senators.”
