Buba Galadima explains his distance from administration
One of the close allies of President Buhari that worked with him in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 general elections, Alhaji Buba Galadima opens up on relationship with the president and the administration.
In an exclusive interview with Pulse in Kaduna on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, Galadima said he will be fulfilled if President Muhammadu Buhari delivers on his campaign promises.
"All my life, I have been a fighter for social justice. It never crosses my mind that I should do something and be rewarded as a person. The only reward I am looking for from Buhari's government is that he should fulfill his campaign promises, and do justice to ordinary Nigerians, and provide dividend of democracy. If he is able to do that, he has fulfilled my expectation," Galadima said.
Galadima who went around Nigeria and campaigned for Buhari, said he wants the President to remember his constituency.
"Buhari should remember those that have work for him. I mean, he should remember people who work day and night to ensure that he become president because they wanted dividend of democracy."
"It doesn't matter who Buhari elects to work with, as far as they key into our principles of good governance, we will support them. It will be sad if those he appointed did not share in our political party’s perspective for which we have worked for in the last 14 years," Buba Galadima added.
Speaking on the removal of the oil subsidy, Buba Galadima said the President did not do enough consultation.
"Consultation was not done to educate a lot of Nigerians as to why the fuel subsidy should be removed. Up to now, Buhari has not said anything. He left us on this situation to assume what he has not done. That is bad for a government. Buhari's government does not communicate with the electorates and Nigerians," Galadima added.
