Senator Uba stated this at the weekend during his primary campaign tour ahead of the November poll.
"With my experience in government, I have come to understand fully that democracy is a government of the people, for the people and by the people. Therefore, I make bold to say that anything short of that is at best quasi - democracy and that too, is unacceptable.
“An ideal democracy is that which is people-oriented and people- driven; a system that makes room equitably for all of its intrinsic parts regardless of status and that is what Anambra state is going to enjoy," he added.

Speaking at the event, a community leader in Anambra state, Chief Paul Ejidike described Uba as the most qualified candidate for the governorship position.
"Senator Andy Uba is a man that has over the years proven his worth in the National Assembly as a legislative heavy-weight and at grassroot level as a visionary, innovative and progressive leader; a man with foresight who knows not just what to do, but when and how to do what," he said.
Uba had earlier renovated a block of classrooms at the Girls High School Uga-Aguata to enhance academic activities in the state.
