Amosun Governor to swear in 18 Commissioners on Thursday

The state Assembly had on October 8 screened and confirmed 18 commissioner-nominees sent to the House by the Governor.

The Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun will swear in new Commissioners and Special Advisers on Thursday, October 29.

According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, the swearing in ceremony would be held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, the state caiptal.

The state Assembly had on October 8 screened and confirmed 18 commissioner-nominees sent to the House by the Governor.

The nominees include Mr Jide Ojuko, Mr Sunday Bamiwola, Dr Babatunde Ipaye, Mr Bolaji Oyeleye, Mr Leke Adewolu, Mr Afolabi Afuwape, Mr Gbenga Ademosun, Mr Kolawole Lawal, Mr Segun Abiodun and Mr Olumide Ayeni.

Others are Mr Bimbo Ashiru, Mr Rotimi Durojaiye, Mr Adebola Adeife, Mrs Adenike Osoba, Mrs Ronke Sokefun and Mr Muyiwa Oladipo.

It was gathered that Amosun sent names of five additional commissioner-nominees last Thursday to the Assembly for confirmation.

The additional list contained these names; Mr Adedayo Adeneye, Mr. Babajide Odubanjo, Mr. Adewale Osinowo, Mrs Adenrele Adesina and Mrs Modupe Njota.
