The Appeal Court reached the decision today, December 17, 2015, in Ibadan.
Amosun’s victory was challenged by opponent and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Adegboyega Isiaka.
A five-man panel of the court however dismissed Isiaka’s petition after ruling that his principal witness, Benjamin Ibikunle was not credible and hence his testimony couldn’t be trusted.
The court also held that the PDP candidate’s appeal lacked merit.
Amosun contested the polls on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
