Godswill Akpabio

The Court of Appeal has upheld the election victory of Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio in the March 28, 2015 elections.

“My election has just been upheld by the Court of Appeal. Thank you Nigerians,” he wrote.

Akpabio’s victory was challenged by the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the elections, Chief Inebehe Okori.

An earlier report had it that the Senator's election victory was nullified based on violations of the Electoral Act. This report has been found to be false.
