‘Don’t be afraid of prison,’ APC candidate’s wife tells Patience Jonathan

Aisha Buhari stated this in response to Mrs. Jonathan’s comments that the APC candidate would imprison his opponents if elected into office.

The wife of All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari has said that First Lady, Patience Jonathan doesn’t need to worry about going to prison.

Aisha Buhari stated this in response to Mrs. Jonathan’s comments that the APC candidate would imprison his opponents if elected into office.

Mrs Buhari stated this on Thursday, March 19, during a campaign rally in Benin, Edo State.

“For those that are campaigning, saying that he (Buhari) is coming to jail Nigerians, I don’t know what their fear is. But they shouldn’t be afraid because we are all yearning for change,” she said.

“The insecurity in the country, the very poor healthcare system, lack of education and other basic necessities that people are lacking, I believe Nigerians need somebody like General Muhammadu Buhari now. Already, they have painted him black, using religion. I’m happy today that Nigerians realise that they use religion as a cover to loot Nigeria,” she added.

Mrs Jonathan had also said that she had no intention of visiting her husband in a prison alluding once again to the notion that Buhari would jail his challengers.
