Wakanow MD bags West African Entrepreneur of the Year award

Online travel booking platform, Wakanow, can boast another feather in its cap as its MD, Obinna Ekezie, was honored with the West African Entrepreneur of the year award for 2015 at the All Africa Business Leaders Awards organized in partnership with CNBC Africa.

The event took place at the Eko Hotels and Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday, October 22, 2015 and had big industry players such as former minister of finance, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, alongside several other notable business leaders across Africa present.

The AABLA honors remarkable leadership and hails game changers of the business sector on the continent for their commitment to developing best practices and innovative strategies.

Ekezie described Wakanow’s journey as fulfillment of a dream for a better travel experience for Nigerians and Africans at large whilst making a commitment to continuing to strengthen the company’s core values.
