26-year-old Peter Sunday was arrested in Suleja local government area of the state after he allegedly robbed a churchgoer, Mrs Felicia Chukwu.

The suspect alongside his accomplice identified as, Nura, now at large, robbed the victim of N12,000 and one Gionee mobile phone valued at N56,000, while she was on her way home from church.

The suspect and his accomplice were reported to have been making life unbearable for residents in the Bakin Kasuwa of Suleja.

While responding to questions by newsmen, the suspect revealed that he and his partner attacked victims returning from work, market and places of worship.

He said, "We arm ourselves with cutlasses, knives and other dangerous weapons to attack our victims. Some of our victims usually cooperate with us during operations; we inflict injuries on those who resist us.

"We trap our victims at a particular location and I have been doing this for the past three years."

Police public relations officer, Muhammed Abubakar, revealed that the suspect confessed to have conspired with his partner to rob Mrs Chukwu.

He added that he would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
