After four gruelling days of sharing insights, on key industry issues and products exhibition at the 2019 Oil Trading and Logistics (OTL) Africa Downstream Week, delegates were treated to a glamorous Closing Cocktail sponsored by Dangote Oil Refinery Limited.
The cocktail themed “Art Fusion” featured a crop of top African fashion designers such as Ayo Van Elmar, Zizi Cardow and Ade Bakare. The home grown international design labels treated guests to their latest collections. To spice up the night, the cocktail played host to a contemporary art exhibition by Kolawole Niyi, whose audacious expressions on canvass caught the appreciative eyes of art enthusiasts. Nigerian contemporary poet, Atilola Moronfolu, also serenaded the event with her dramatic poetry rendition.
The night reached a climax with the presentation of cash prizes to contestants of the ‘Downstream Innovation Challenge’ by Emeka Akabogu Esq., Chairman, OTL Africa Downstream, who encouraged the students to develop more technology-based solutions to accelerate the growth of the downstream petroleum industry in Africa.
