There has been an outpour of emotions on Nigerian Twitter after a corps member shared proceeds from an image he sold as a Non-fungible Token (NFT) with an aged drummer.

Recall that barely a week ago, the corps member, named Adisa Olashile, had tweeted photos of an old man who goes around to entertaining people with his drumming skills.

According Olashile, who is currently serving in Oyo state, the aged drummer always come to the Secretariat where he and other corps members meet for their Community Development Service (CDS).

The tweet went viral immediately with Nigerians commenting their admiration over the passionate smiles displayed in the photos by the old man.

Soon after putting out the tweet, Olashile announced that he would mint the photo as an NFT and promised to share proceeds from the sale with the old man.

In making good of his promises, the photographer on Friday, April 8, 2022, posted an emotional video of the moments the man received his 50 per cent share from the sale.

The young corps member also went ahead to open a bank account for the man to ensure the safety of the money.

He also got a new mobile phone for the drummer and presented him a big photo frame.

This move has surely melted thousands of hearts who thronged the comment section of the post to show their appreciation.
