Man steals judge's N2.5 million iron property, sells it for N56,000
The suspects were remanded in Ilesha Correctional Centre.

Awoyemi, 37, was arraigned for stealing angle iron (construction material consisting of pieces of iron or steel with an L-shaped cross section, able to be bolted together) valued at N2.5 million.
Awoyemi, according to the police, sold the items to Oyeyemi, 35, for N56,000.
The stolen property was said to belong to a judge with the Osun State Judiciary, Justice A. B. Abdulkareem.
According to Punch, Awoyemi and Oyeyemi allegedly committed the offences in the early hours of Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at Oke-Odo, Okuku.
Oyeyemi was separately arraigned on two counts of conspiracy and theft for receiving 155 pieces of angle iron valued at N2.5m in Oke-Odo, Oyan.
Before ruling on the matter, Magistrate Olayemi said the two cases should be merged since they were related.
Olayemi remanded the accused in the Ilesha Correctional Centre and transferred the matter to a magistrates’ court in Okuku for mention on November 11, 2019.
