Labourer lands into prison for stealing shovel, others
A 20-year-old labourer, Anas Muhammed, has been sentenced to seven months in prison by a Sokoto Chief Magistrates Court for stealing two drums, a digger, and a shovel, belonging to his neighbours.

The prosecuting officer, Inspector Awaisu Mohammed, told the court that the convict stole the items from his neighbours identified as Sanusi Bello and Abdulmalik Sani.
He explained that the complainants reported the matter to the police station at Ungwan Rogo Sokoto on November 20, 2018, adding that the offence contravened section 288 of the penal code.
