Mrs Mercy Torkwase Iortyer has made history as the first female president of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS).

She was sworn-in as the new president at the grand finale of the institute’s 26th Biennial Conference and General Meeting in Lagos.

Tagged: 'Politics, Policies and National Development – The Role of Professionals', members of the African Association of Quantity Surveyors (AAQS), participants from top government offices, political parties, real estate, banking, insurance and manufacturing industries gathered to discuss Quantity Survey and the construction industry.

Mrs Iortyer is replacing the former president, Murtala Aliyu, former Minister of State for Power.
