The holy city of Mecca always hosts over 2million pilgrims annually, and the pressure on its hospitality sector, is overwhelming.

The city has undergone many infrastructural uplifts to accommodate the crowd that throngs the city.

To further make pilgrims comfortable while observing Hajj, the Saudi Ministry of Finance has decided to raise funds that will be used to construct the world’s largest hotel.

The 44-story hotel, is a mixed use hotel, designed by Dar Al-Handasah,

The Abraj Kudai hotel, will have 12 towers, a shopping mall, convention centre and restaurants and lounges.

The hotel will be ready by 2017.
