According to the representative of Suzuki Motors in Nigeria, the assembly line in the Lagos plant is ready for production.

In an interview with The Guardian, the company said Semi Knock Down (SKD) parts will be used to assemble the Suzuki Super Carry 1.0 vehicles.

Marketing Manager of the organisation, Titi Olodun said: “The assembly line is 1,132 square metres long, with additional 1,200square metres where fabrication of a range of custom made bodies for the Suzuki will be manufactured.

These include refrigerated units, vans, six seater people carriers, tippers, hoppers, pick-ups, mobile shops and many other body options.

The new facilities will be equipped with state of the art modern manufacturing tools and equipment, with associated infrastructure built to the exacting standards of Suzuki Japan."

Boulos Enterprises Limited said the production of Suzuki cars will support the Nigeria’s National Automotive Industry Development Plan (NAIDP).
