PDP chieftain reveals how he spent N53m, lists top Northern traditional leaders he visited

Yakassai said the money was given to him by Anenih to help convince prominent northern leaders to mobilise their subjects to ensure a hitch fee 2015 elections.

 

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Tanko Yakassai, who recently undefinedhas listed more names.

He said the money was given to him by Anenih to help convince prominent northern leaders to mobilise their subjects to ensure a hitch fee 2015 elections.

According to Vanguard Newspapers, Yakassai said the money was used to settle his teams’ allowances, transportation fare and accommodation.

Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris and the Emir of Gwandu.

He said he also visited the Emirs of Anka, Ilorin, Nassarawa, Minnie, Bauchi, Zuru, Kebbi, Katsina, Dutse, Hadejia and representatives of emir of Daurawa.

The Tor Tiv, the Gwom Gbom Jos, Ohimege Igu, Kotonkarfe, Etsu of Abaji, Etsu Nupe and Atta Igala, were not left out.

He also denied receiving any money from Goodluck Jonathan’s administration saying “I want to make it categorically clear that no officials of the last regime either Mr. Jonathan, his lieutenant, agents, contractors or person having links or relationship with the last administration gave me cash on behalf of that regime.”

Tanko Yakassai’s name was mentioned when Anenih revealed how he distributed the sum of N260m which he received from former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.
