According to him, the youths would be cleaning major streets and otherpublic places in Sokoto city and its environs.

He said the former governor's gesture was aimed at complementing the efforts of the State Government to rid the city of filth and its attendant negative health implications.

``Most of these youths had also been given sponsorship to go back to schools, up to the university.

``The programme helps to reduce unemployment and poverty, as well as youth restiveness in the state.''
