The suspected kidnappers were paraded by the Commander of the Nigerian Navy Ship in Delta, Commodore Joseph Dzunve on Wednesday, October 19.
He revealed that the abductors of Dickson’s sister, Nancy were caught with explosives, ammunition and a gun-making machine.
“Based on the directive of the Chief of Naval Staff to rid the maritime environment of criminals, we are not relenting in our efforts to tackle the situation. It is in this light that we have clamped down on criminals,” Dzunve said according to Punch.
“We have three groups here. One of the groups consists of impersonators. They go about deceiving civilians by claiming to be either naval officers or NUPENG officials in order to extort. They also use violence,” he added.
Nancy, 26, was abducted in December 2015 in her shop located on Okaka Road, Yenagoa.
She was eventually rescued from her kidnappers in February 2016 after spending two months in captivity.
