A fire has broken out in the Maitama, Abuja home of Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Fire breaks out in Senate President’s Abuja home
The blaze is said to have started in the gym area of the building at about 10:05am on Friday, August 28, 2015.

Residents of the building were said to have noticed smoke coming from the room and quickly notified the fire service.
The incident has been confirmed by the Special Adviser to the Senate President on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu.
Olaniyonu told Punch that the fire was caused by an electric spark from one of the air conditioners in the gym.

No casualties were recorded in the incident.
