The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has berated protesters who attacked dignitaries that include the Nigerian Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, made these statements during the annual Eid-el-Kabir visit to the state Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, in Ilorin.

In a report by The Punch, the Ilorin monarch berated the protesters while appealing to parents to train their children not to tarnish the good image of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State as a peace loving and united entities.
Speaking on Saturday, September 26, 2015, Sulu Gambari reportedly described the act of the protesters as an offence against God. the disruption of the Eid-el-Kabir prayer at the Ilorin Eid ground on Thursday.
The report revealed that the Emir further noted that the attempts by the miscreants to defile the sanctity of the place of worship and deny Muslims their right of worship wasn't only condemnable but aso an invitation of Allah's wrath.

This is coming on the heels of some protesters who reportedly threw sachet water, stones and other objects at dignitaries, including Senate President Bukola Saraki and the emir among others during the Sallah prayer on Thursday, September 24, 2015.
