The Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the State, Oladele Adeniji, made the call during interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Ota, Ogun on Tuesday.
Adeniji added that such payments would enable the government to provide adequate amenities for the people.
According to him, it is the responsibility of every administration to improve its Internally Generated Revenues (IGR) drive so as to improve the welfare of the citizens.
”We are making concerted efforts to improve our IGR because without that, the state will not be able to provide basic infrastructure for the people”, the council boss said.
Adeniji urged people to always be ready to contribute their quota to development of the state.
He also said that a cemetery had been approved for the area as part of the measures to boost its IGR.
