Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his victory at the Supreme Court.

This is contained in a statement on Thursday signed by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Sir Tersoo Kula in Makurdi.

He said the verdict was sound and succinct, adding that the judgment was a revalidation of the sacred mandate freely given to them by Nigerians on Feb. 25.

He said the apex court had delivered sound legal and jurisprudential reasoning without any doubt that it was the last hope of the common man.

He said the court verdict showed that the will of the people was not thwarted and power changed hands through the back door.

He described the judgment as a victory for democracy and a victory for the majority of the Nigerian masses who voted the president into office.

Let’s continue to keep faith with the current APC administration in the country, now that the distractions of the court processes are over, the Tinubu-led government will concentrate more on delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda to the entire people of Nigeria as outlined in its blueprint,” he said.

The Supreme Court had on Thursday upheld the election of Tinubu in the Feb. 25 presidential poll and dismissed the petitions of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Mr Peter Obi of the LP.
