Senate to probe Obasanjo, Jonathan

The investigation is to be conducted by a 13-member Ad-Hoc Committee which was instituted on Thursday, August 13, 2015.

The Senate is set to probe the management of the power sector under former Presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Yar’adua and Goodluck Jonathan.

The Committee, which is led by Senator Abubakar Kyari, will also probe the process by which the now defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) was unbundled.

The Senate reached the decision pursuant to a motion sponsored by the Senator Ali Ndume.

The committee is expected to conclude its investigations and report to the Senate within two weeks.
