Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday departed Abuja for Cote D’Ivoire, to represent President Muhammadu Buhari at the inauguration of Nigeria's immediate past Agriculture Minister, Dr Akinwunmi Adesina, as President of the African Development Bank, AfDB.

A statement from Mr Laolu Akande, the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President (Media & Publicity), said Osinbajo would deliver a speech at the inauguration taking place on Tuesday in Abidjan.
It would be recalled that President Buhari actively supported the candidacy of the AfDB president-elect in a keenly contested election conducted in May even before the Buhari presidency began.
Akande said the Vice President would return to Abuja later on Tuesday.
