Acting President’s brother, Keyamo nominated for SAN title

Prominent human rights lawyer, Festus Keyamo was also nominated for the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) title.

The list of nominees was released by the Legal Practitioner’s Privilege Committee (LPPC) on Thursday, May 18.

It includes the names of 67 practicing lawyers and 24 legal scholars, LPPC secretary, Gambo Saleh, said.

However, being shortlisted does not result in an automatic conferment with the title.

In 2016, 50 candidates were shortlisted but only 22 were conferred with the title.

Keyamo was shortlisted in 2014, 2015 and 2016, but failed to make the final cut.
