PDP spokesman laughs as court frees him on bail

The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh was today, January 22, 2016, freed on bail by an Abuja High Court.

The PDP spokesperson was granted bail in the sum of N300 million with two sureties in like sum by Justice Ishaq Bello.

The decision is in connection with charges of destruction of evidence brought against Metuh by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Metuh was earlier also granted bail to the tune of N400 million in connection with a case of money laundering against him.

The EFCC has alleged that the PDP spokesman tore a statement made by him regarding the fraud case which was brought to him to sign.

Metuh is being tried for allegedly receivingthe sum of N400 million from former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki who’s also being tried for corruption.
