The Chairman of the Chibok community in Abuja, Tsambido Hosea-Abana confirmed receipt of Ezekwesili’s donation saying it had been credited into the Chibok community account

“I can confirm that this money has entered the designed account. We had about N1.1 million donated by people to assist in rehabilitating these girls when they are returned,” he said.

“I am also appealing to Nigerians to donate to the course of rebuilding the schools in Chibok as some of these schools have been destroyed when the Boko Haram attacked the area,” he added.

The over 200 Chibok girls were kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents on April 14, 2014 and most of them are still in captivity.
