Abaribe signed for Kanu on Friday, April 28, after the IPOB leader was, on Tuesday, April 25, granted N100 million bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja on health grounds.
Presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako ordered Kanu to produce three sureties to perfect his bail application.
According to the court order, one surety must be a prominent Nigerian of Igbo descent, the second must be a highly recognized believer in Judaism and the third must be resident in and have landed property in Abuja.
The IPOB leader is also forbidden from granting interviews and attending gatherings with more than 10 people present.
Kanu is facing charges of treason after being arrested by security agents in October 2015.

His three co-accused, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi were denied bail by the court.
